Passaic County Domestic and Sexual Violence Center

PCDSVS offers a variety of services to survivors of sexual assault living in the community, which are also accessible to residential clients.  The outreach office is a drop-in center that provides culturally responsive case management, individual and group supportive counseling, social services assistance, and referral services to anyone affected by sexual assault.

Our Legal Advocacy services include assisting clients in family and municipal courts in safety planning, assisting with decision making and support around filing restraining orders, working with clients in preparing their cases to be heard by the court, accompaniment during court procedures, and providing the emotional support needed to enable survivors to move forward.

The Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Project consists of teams of trained volunteer advocates that will respond to a survivor during a time of crisis 24 hours a day at local police stations and hospitals.  They provide support, information, safety planning, and legal advocacy, as well as linkages with other PCDSVS programs for longer-term follow up.
