The Resource Center is NJAC’s oldest non-residential program and serves as a walk-in center for ex-offenders. The goal of the Resource Center is to assist clients in becoming self-sufficient and productive within the community. Issues of major importance to recently released inmates are employment, housing, and adjustment to community standards. The staff works with clients in order to remove these barriers and assist in their transition. Short-term case management services are provided that assist clients with emergency needs, community stabilization, and general assistance in becoming productive citizens in the community. The center provides a mailing address, phone usage, messaging service, and information/referrals to community resources.

Resource Center Case Manager provides discharge planning services to inmates currently housed in the Middlesex County Jail. Utilizing resources located throughout the county, staff provide information and community referrals to individuals prior to their release based on their identified areas of need.
