Community Action Month | NJAC Celebrates Community Partnerships

May is Community Action Month, and the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS) is celebrating the life-changing work of Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and organizations supported through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program across the country.

The New Jersey Association on Correction (NJAC) is honored to have received a letter of appreciation from the Community Services Block Grant Team recognizing our continued commitment to serving vulnerable children, families, individuals, and communities throughout New Jersey. This recognition reflects the dedication of organizations working every day to strengthen communities and provide meaningful support to those who need it most.

Community Action Month highlights the importance of partnerships that improve lives by connecting people with essential services, resources, education, and opportunities. Through collaboration and shared commitment, Community Action Agencies help reduce barriers, promote stability, and build stronger, healthier communities.

The letter from the Office of Community Services acknowledged the extraordinary efforts of organizations that continued serving communities during challenging times, recognizing the strength, flexibility, and dedication required to meet evolving community needs. NJAC is proud to stand alongside agencies and partners that remain committed to creating positive outcomes for individuals and families across New Jersey.

As part of the broader Community Services Block Grant network, NJAC values the opportunity to collaborate with community organizations, government partners, and service providers who share a common mission of improving lives and expanding access to resources. Together, these partnerships help ensure that individuals and families receive the support they need to overcome challenges and move toward long-term success.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Administration for Children and Families, the Office of Community Services, and the Community Services Block Grant Team for this meaningful recognition. We also thank our dedicated partners, staff, and supporters whose ongoing commitment makes this work possible.

Community Action Month serves as an important reminder that when organizations work together with purpose and compassion, they create stronger communities and brighter futures for everyone.
