PCDSVC offers a variety of services to victims and survivors living in the community, which are also accessible to residential clients.  The outreach office is a drop-in center that provides culturally responsive case management, individual and group supportive counseling, sexual assault services, social services assistance, and referral services to anyone affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

The Domestic Violence Liaisons (DVL’s) work out of local NJ DCF DCP&P offices. When child abuse and domestic violence co-occur, Domestic Violence Liaisons work to strengthen and enhance service coordination between child welfare and domestic violence services. They provide domestic violence training to the DCF staff and conduct assessments and provide services and referrals to families.

Our Legal Advocacy services include assisting clients in family and municipal courts in safety planning, understanding their rights under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act, assisting with decision making and support around filing restraining orders, working with clients in preparing their cases to be heard by the court, accompaniment during court procedures, and providing the emotional support needed to enable victims to move forward.

The Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) Project consists of teams of trained volunteer advocates that will respond to a victim during a time of crisis 24 hours a day at local police stations and hospitals.  They provide support, information, safety planning, and legal advocacy, as well as linkages with other PCDSVC programs for longer-term follow up.

Community Education and Prevention: PCDSVC participates in health fairs, community days, street fairs, educational fairs, and presentations to community groups in order to educate the public about domestic violence and to help to raise awareness about our services.
